⭐ Risk Assessment Templates - We've worked with leading health and safety consultants to produce a starter pack of Risk Assessments designed for clubs. ⭐ Email Notifications for Messages - A highly requested update to the Messages functionality in Obbi now means that managers can choose to notify their staff via email when a message is sent. This makes it much easier to communicate critical safety information, whilst giving you the confidence that staff are kept fully aware. Please note: users can only receive email notifications if they have verified their email address.

🎨 Improvements and Updates

  • The User Profile screen now shows all key information about an individual staff member in one place: Training Records, Documents Acknowledged, Certificate Expiry, Risk Assessment Acknowledgement and any Task Observations by their manager. This makes it much quicker and easier for managers to pull up all information they need about a particular staff member quickly, ensuring that records are easily produced when required.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

  • Certificates will show their description instead of the original filename when listed to users.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a CSRF token error to appear on the User Profile screen occasionally.

⭐ Bulk Password Reset and Resend Welcome Email

  • We have added the ability to Reset Passwords and Send Welcome Emails in bulk. This has been requested as a way of making it easier to manage your teams in Obbi, and is available from your Admin > Users page today.

⭐ New Cloud Infrastructure

  • As part of our continuing efforts to develop the Obbi service, we performed a major cloud infrastructure upgrade this month. This will allow faster response times, quicker processing of data, and the ability to scale up the Obbi service automatically in times of peak usage.

🎨 Improvements and Updates

  • When new users are created, there is now an option to send a “Welcome to Obbi” email that helps them activate their account and access links to the Help Centre and app downloads.
  • Incident Forms no longer require PIN entry by default when signing off the form.
  • Task scheduling options have been simplified to allow admins to choose between Team Task, Observed Task, or Mandatory Task when setting up the schedule for their team.
  • Tasks can now be available solely as Observed Tasks, permitting scenarios in which only Team Managers can start a check list.
  • Added the ability to sort by a wider range of columns across Tasks, Messages, Incidents and Notifications.

  • New users are now created with more user-friendly account names and first-time passwords.
  • Team Managers are now able to create new users for their teams without needing Site Admin permission.
  • User passwords no longer automatically expire.

  • When a Document or Certificate expires, an email notification is now sent to the Team Manager or assignee.

🚀 Feature Update: Mandatory Tasks

  • Periodic Tasks have been revamped, and are now known as Mandatory Tasks.
  • This is an optional new way to distribute tasks amongst your team, allowing you to specify a task that must be completed that day.
  • Users who have been online but who haven't completed their Mandatory task for the day will have a “Miss” report recorded against them.

🚀 Feature Update: Task Observations

  • There has been a significant improvement to how Task Observations are managed by Team Managers during staff induction training.
  • Managers are now presented with alerts on their home dashboard for any pending or in-progress Task Observations.
  • Managers are alerted when a Staff Member completes their initial Training and now requires a Task Observation.
  • Alternatively, Managers can directly start a Task Observation for any user in their team.

⭐ New Feature: Compliance Insights on the Obbi Mobile App

  • Users of the Mobile App can now see their overall compliance status at a glance, including any expiring training, overdue actions, or tasks awaiting observation.
  • Critical Messages sent by Team Managers can now be viewed on the Obbi Mobile App.

🚀 Feature Update: Users and Passwords

  • Users can now change their password from the user profile page (either on the web or in the mobile app)
  • Current users without verified email addresses will be prompted on the home page when they log in.
  • Optional Admin setting to enforce verified email addresses across all users.

🎨 Improvements and Updates

  • The Admin landing page has been simplified for ease of use.
  • The "Roles" settings page has been moved onto the "Users" settings page.
  • Added explanatory text to make Guided Tasks and Team Tasks easier to manage when linked to Training Modules.

  • The ability to set a logo for an organisation has been removed.

  • Removed the "Incident Name" field when reporting an incident, to allow quicker incident reporting by staff.

  • Fixed an issue where the logout button wouldn't be displayed if the user's device had previously been set to Kiosk Mode

🚀 Feature Update: Incidents

  • Previously, once a user reported an incident, they wouldn't see it again. Now, on the 'My Incidents' page, they will see all incidents they have created until they are assigned to another team (i.e. an Incident Management / HR team etc). As well as seeing their own incidents, Managers will be able to see all incidents assigned to the teams they manage.

🚀 Feature Update: Users and Passwords

  • Users without verified email addresses will be shown an alert on their home page which prompts them to confirm their email address (or enter it for the first time) and sends them a verification email. Clicking the link in the email verifies the email address and removes the alert.
  • Admins can now use "Reset Now" on user accounts, which will change the password to a secure suggested password (random characters), clear the locked account status, clear the password expired status, close all open sessions belonging to that user, and display the new password.

🎨 Improvements and Updates

  • The password banner not going away has now been fixed and will only show again if password is going to expire within 14 days.
  • Mandatory line items within tasks will now error if the user completes the task without selecting a value from the drop-down.

  • New “Certificates” page added for Team managers which shows Certificates assigned to users in any of their managed teams.
  • Staff members can now see all Certificates assigned to them.
  • The Expired Documents report will now also include expired Certificates.
  • Managers can now create a new Corrective Action directly from the Actions home page.

🎨 Improvements and Updates

  • Users can now upload attachments (e.g. photos, manuals etc.) to Corrective Actions.
  • Corrective Actions will now warn once they are within 7 days of going overdue.
  • Team Managers are now notified when a Corrective Action changes state (e.g. from In Progress to Blocked), and they can move it between any teams they manage.
